Since 2009, the European Ceramic Art & Research Team (ECART) network has brought together six European higher art schools*, specialising in art or design, to collaborate on ceramics-based teaching and encourage exchanges and mobility between students and teachers.

Since its inception, the network has highlighted the skills and complementary nature of the various schools and encouraged the pooling of ideas, research and practices. The synergy between the schools is reflected in meetings, publications, exchanges between teachers and the development of evolving, cross-disciplinary projects.
